“Promoting Sustainability Amidst Shifting Global Trends”

In this era of globalization, there is a need to understand the interconnectedness of social, economic and environmental factors of development. For this reason, it enhances the necessity for international cooperation to achieve for long lasting development that is able to support and sustain human beings, as well as the ecosystem life of the present and to the farthest future. However, the dynamic nature of the international environment is an issue to come up with long-term solutions to the problems of the world today. Hence, in this year’s Benilde Model United Nations, delegates are challenged to craft solutions in order to attain intergenerational equity––to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
